Brophy Hockey Club 2012 Spring/Summer Program
Open to all players, including incoming freshmen
Limited to first 36 skaters and 4 goalies
Spring/Summer Session starts on April 30th and ends on May 30th.

On-Ice sessions 2 days a week - Monday & Wednesday 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM at Arcadia Ice

Memorial Day - Week 5 sessions will be 5/29-5/30

Focus on Skill Development
Shooting, Passing, Puck Control, Power Skating, Cross Ice Games and Full Ice Scrimmages.

Week 1 - Power Skating / Goalies - Angles, Crease movement, Rebound control

Week 2 - Passing and Stickhandling / Goalies – Tracking, Balance, Agility

Week 3 - No sessions Monday, May 14th and Wednesday, May 16th – Finals Week

Week 4 - Puck Control and Cross Ice Games / Goalies - Puck control, Game situations

Week 5 - Scoring and Shooting / Goalies – Read and React, Net presence

AHSHA will need volunteers to help with various activities at the Labor Day Tournament at Alltel Ice Den on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday (Sept 3rd  - 5th).  This may entail working at some of the booths for the Silent Auction, merchandise sales, 50/50 raffle, selling door prize tickets, etc.  This will be a 2 hour commitment.

We also need food & drink donations for the Hospitality Room for each day such as: pot luck dishes, sandwich meats & cheese, bread, vegetable trays, salads, water, etc. Chips, condiments, paper plates, napkins, plastic ware are already taken care of for the Hospitality Room for all three days.

The BCP Hockey Club will travel to Oak Creek/Sedona, AZ on Friday, August 12th through Sunday, August 14th. This is a great event that allows our hockey club to experience Manresa, Brophy's retreat property, and prepare as a team for the upcoming season. Manresa is an extremely important part of the Brophy experience and is used by various clubs and sport teams. Manresa is set in the pines of upper Oak Creek Canyon and offers our club a great opportunity to kick off the season. Activities will include off ice training, several field trips and team building exercises.

The initial payment of $500.00 must be paid before players can attend the Manresa retreat.
